Balmung Medical Handel GmbH is proud to be one of the leading companies in a vital market, the trade of medical products. Our mission is to secure and improve our healthcare system through the reliable supply of innovative medical products. Since our foundation in 2004, we have managed to establish ourselves in a highly competitive market and to continuously and successfully develop into a company of European stature in this challenging economic environment.

We owe our success story since our founding to our reputation, which is based on ethical and performance-related core values. Our goal is to create added value for our customers, to be a valued employer for our employees and to be perceived as a recognized company in society. To achieve these goals, the highest level of integrity, transparency, confidentiality and professionalism is imperative.

The success of our company depends on the trust of our stakeholders. We must maintain this trust and prove that we live up to it. For this reason, Balmung Medical Handel GmbH has established a Code of Conduct that translates the company's fundamental ethical values into behavioral guidelines. This code is binding for all our employees, managers, board members and partners and must be observed.

For us, shared basic ethical attitudes are the prerequisite for good and healthy cooperation. We therefore also expect our business partners to live up to their social responsibility and to be guided in their activities by certain fundamental ethical principles. This Code of Conduct for Business Partners sets out, without claiming to be exhaustive, our minimum standards, which we expect our business partners to comply with. Balmung Medical Handel GmbH therefore assumes that our business partners accept this Code for Business Partners and also comply with it.


1. Compliance with applicable legislation

Within the scope of your business relationship with Balmung Medical Handel GmbH, we expect our business partners to fully comply with all relevant legal and other regulations in accordance with the respective applicable legal system. With our Code of Conduct, we have committed ourselves to always act fairly and with integrity, and we expect the same from our business partners.

2. Fair competition

Our business partners of Balmung Medical Handel GmbH are committed to fair competition. Violations of any kind against the provisions of antitrust and other competition law are avoided and prevented by them. This includes price fixing, bidding agreements, concerted practices and generally abusive market practices. Our business partners also do not use unfair business practices.

3. Strict compliance with anti-corruption guidelines

Corruption is a serious form of white-collar crime that Balmung Medical Handel GmbH will not tolerate under any circumstances. Our business partners do not engage in any corrupt behavior. This means

When dealing with public officials, our business partners distance themselves from bribery, the offering or granting of any advantages and the practice of so-called "feeding". The granting of advantages, which is prohibited by criminal law on corruption, is also expressly and unreservedly prohibited.

In their business relationships, our business partners do not offer or grant any benefits that are intended to lead to preferential treatment. Our business partners also instruct their employees not to accept or accept promises of benefits. Furthermore, no advantages are demanded.

At Balmung Medical Handel GmbH, employees may only accept benefits that are not objectively likely to influence their business decisions or transactions. It is strictly forbidden to offer or hand over money and vouchers with monetary value to employees of Balmung Medical Handel GmbH.

4. Avoidance of conflicts of interest

Balmung Medical Handel GmbH has implemented measures to identify potential conflicts of interest and to ensure that they do not adversely affect the company. Likewise, it is important that our business partners also ensure that their business activities are not affected by conflicts of interest, such as personal interests of their employees.

5. Anti-discrimination

We categorically condemn any form of discrimination, regardless of the reason, and do not tolerate it in our company in any way. Our employees, managers and board members are obliged to refrain from any discriminatory or harassing behavior.

We expect our business partners to adhere to the same standards. Discrimination has no place in our cooperation.

6. Strict confidentiality

At Balmung Medical Handel GmbH, the value of confidentiality and discretion is highly valued. Our business partners also ensure that all confidentiality obligations based on any legal basis are observed by all persons working for them (e.g. employees, subcontractors, consultants). This applies in particular to information that they receive about the company and its projects as part of the business relationship with Balmung Medical Handel GmbH.

7. Strict KYC and AML regulations

We strictly comply with KYC (Know Your Customer) and AML (Anti-Money Laundering) regulations to prevent our products or services from being misused for illegal purposes. We diligently verify the identity of our customers, report suspicious activity and cooperate with the relevant authorities in investigations.

8. Sustainable partnerships

We stand for responsible corporate governance that is geared towards long-term value creation. For us, economic success is closely linked to our social responsibility, based on our core values such as a sense of responsibility, fairness, compliance, transparency and integrity. We work together with our business partners and suppliers to further develop sustainability performance in our supply chain. This includes compliance with applicable environmental and social laws as well as internationally recognized ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) standards. We also expect our business partners and suppliers to implement these sustainability requirements in their own supply chains to the best of their ability.

9. Health and safety

At Balmung, we strictly comply with all relevant legal requirements and take our responsibility towards our stakeholders seriously. Every individual has the right to work in a healthy and safe working environment. We expect this right equally from our business partners and suppliers. We call on them to fully comply with the applicable occupational health and safety laws in their area of responsibility and to train their employees accordingly in order to prevent occupational accidents and work-related illnesses as best as possible.

10. Human rights

At Balmung Medical Handel GmbH, we set high standards for ethical behavior and are committed to upholding human rights in accordance with the United Nations Charter, the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights and the European Convention on Human Rights. We also attach great importance to compliance with the ILO core labor standards.
These standards apply equally to our business partners and suppliers. We expect them to respect the right to collective bargaining, trade union membership, personal development and freedom of association and to comply with the legal requirements regarding working hours, minimum wage, vacations and other employee rights.
Our business partners and suppliers are obliged to prohibit and prevent all forms of modern slavery, including child labor, compulsory labor and forced labor. They also strictly reject all forms of unethical and illegal working conditions, such as harassment, physical violence and illegal employment.

11. Environment and climate protection

At Balmung Medical Handel GmbH, we regularly address the issues of environmental and climate protection. We rely on our business partners and suppliers to also be sensitive to natural resources, waste reduction, energy consumption and the CO2 footprint in their day-to-day business.
In addition, we expect them to comply with all relevant environmental protection laws, regulations and standards. Together with our business partners and suppliers, we strive for sustainable growth and systematically integrate environmental and climate protection into our day-to-day business activities.
